Unlike traditional bitesuit designs that were intended to allow for a required amount of “pinch-out” space where the dog could bite just bitesuit in front of the decoys arm or leg, the New Ringsuits.com PSA Bitesuit provides a closer fit that allows very little possibility of pinching out material. The dog has no choice to bite just bitesuit on the bicep, so full grips become the norm, with the dog having a mouth full of decoy bicep, instead of just a mouth full of padding.
There is a bit more space inside the pant legs than there is inside the upper arm sleeves, which is necessary for proper decoy movement and speed without excessive drag, but the overall fit is much closer than the fit of traditional Mondio ring or French ring based bitesuit fits. In most cases, a full biting leg dog will have to bite over the decoy’s leg instead of just pinching out a bunch of material.
The PSA Suit has competition weight padding in the close fitted pants, and competition weight padding on the arms. The left arm includes a high-structure padded replaceable upper arm sleeve cover that is sewn on, but made to be easily replaceable. The jacket body is thinner than the competition padding of the Mondio/French ring jackets, and is similar to the amount of padding in the jacket body of the 3-Piece jacket.
The New PSA Suit is weighs 20-21 lbs. dry, WITH the upper arm sleeve cover, for an average size decoy.
