These muzzles are made by Seynaeve specifically for the muzzled object guard exercise in Belgian Ring (NVBK), where the dog must defend the guarded object against two approaches from a decoy who does not wear a bitesuit. The muzzles have a bite bar built into the front so the dog can bite down on it, and stabilize the muzzle during the violent impacts instead of smashing his or her nose into the end of the muzzle. The comfort enhancing attributes of these muzzles that serve the dog so well in NVBK, also make them the best muzzles to use for general agitation work for police, military, or any civil agitation.

To figure out which muzzle is most likely to fit your dog, take a measurement of the circumference about halfway between their nose and their eyes. The dog must be able to partially open their mouth inside the muzzle to bite the bite bar, so pick a muzzle with an inner circumference that is at least a few centimeters larger than the circumference of your dogs snout.

**With these muzzles, it may be necessary to make some adjustments to the leather straps to create the fit on your dog that you desire.  It may even be necessary to drill out one of the rivets on each side and move the rivet location to the point where it works best for your dog’s head and neck.  Screw-together rivets can be purchased from good hardware stores so you have the option to move the joining locations of the straps to different locations until you find the configuration you like best for your dog.
